Cooperating Ministry of Logan County

Cooperating Ministry of Logan County is a non profit organization founded in 1981 by the Sterling Ministerial Alliance to be a centralized resource for the community. Utilizing Our Vision: “To provide coordinated emergency resources and assistance to people who are in need.​" The goal is to provide a hand up, not a hand out.

  • Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP)

    • Eligibility

      • Loss of income as a direct result of the COVID-19. These funds are time-limited and can assist the tenant/homeowner with only the portion of housing costs the household cannot afford.

    • Payments are made directly to the landlord/mortgage company in order to avoid eviction or foreclosure.

    • Program open to community members, regardless of being an open client

  • Homeless Prevention Activities Program (HPAP)

    • Eligibility:

      • Experiencing a temporary economic crisis, such as job loss, that has caused a loss of income leading to a high risk situation for eviction.

      • Household income must be at or below 50% area median Income limits

      • Proof of lost income and looming potential for eviction.

    • Program includes case management and coaching for success with obtainable goals to remedy their situation within 6 months.

    • Open client status NOT required.

  • 7/1/2020: Funding NOT available for emergency/temporary shelter, like motel stays. This type of assistance is only available from October through March of each calendar year.

Logan County Department of Human Services - Diversion Program

  • Requirements

    • less than $75,000 annual income

    • Must have children in the home

  • Potential needs addressed:

    • Basic needs

    • Rent, utilities, other

    • Consultation/coaching family finances

    • Goal is to keep people working, be able to return to work when the opportunity returns

CMLC offers Prevention/Intervention Programs to include a Utility Assistance Program (i.e. water bills, electric bills and heating source provisions-propane,coal & pellets).

​Services include: Housing Program, 1on1 Case Management, Peer Navigation, On Campus Groups, Budgeting Class, Life Skills, Job Reintegration, Faith Based Services and Community Activities

Early Childhood Council of Logan Phillips & Sedgwick Counties

ECCLPS' mission is a collaborative system that promotes and values high quality early care and education opportunities for children birth to five and their families.

Colorado Child Care Assistance Program

The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) helps families that are homeless, working, searching for work or in school find low-income child care assistance. Families that are enrolled in the Colorado Works Program can also use CCCAP services.

Parenting Classes

Family Resource Center

Ongoing classes include Nurturing Parents, Nurturing Fathers, and Incredible Years, along with other classes throughout the year as opportunities become available.

Strengthening Families

The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is an evidence-based family skills training program for high-risk and general population families that is recognized both nationally and internationally. Parents and youth attend weekly SFP skills classes together, learning parenting skills and youth life and refusal skills.
